The grape sugar flavor substitute stuff arrived. It sucks. Really, it does. And it's sad. My hopes were up so high. *sigh*
---- But I also ordered Root Beer and that one actually tastes pretty good. So all happiness is not lost. Hope everyone's week has been better than my grape idea!

A. Ate ice-cream yesterday. Sugar free kind. Loved the temperature, the creamy dreaminess, but the flavor was weak. Not sure if it's because my taste buds have changed or because it was sugar free.
B. Been craving a cupcake for weeks. Not like a "give me a cupcake now!" kind of a way. More like a "cupcakes are cute and yummy and I really want one" kind of a way. Which makes no sense unless you are in my head. Basically I want a cupcake very badly. But not badly enough to cheat on my diet. Especially now that I fear my taste buds have no desire for such an artificial delight.
C. Cleaned our home yesterday. I clean everyday but yesterday I really cleaned. You know scrubbed things and made floor spotless.Did this thinking the fix it people were going to come fix our dryer and refrigerator. But the phone they were suppose to call is down for the count. So they won't come.
D. Don't care though. If the fix it people come or not. Yes our stuff needs fixed but it's been broken for awhile and we can deal.
E. Ever ridden an elephant? I think that would be cool. When I reach my weight goal that is. Don't want to hurt the poor thing!
F. Fish. Those were the only pets my home had growing up. They were my sisters. They smelled.
G. GRAPE!!! I love grape. I ordered this natural grape fake sugar drops stuff. I think if I put it in club soda it might taste good. Oh how I miss grape soda.
H. Hope it gets here soon. Just talking about grape soda is making me long.

Sometimes I want to decorate my whole home in white and then add pops of color here and there. Strange idea?? I don't think so!! Just look at this photo I found. It could totally work.

Been distant. Been busy, mostly been distracted with my own thoughts. Not sure why.
Got a call from Grandma today!! She just wanted to see how I was doing. I love her! It was so good to hear from her. I miss her terribly.
The orchid Hubby got me for our anniversary is still going strong!! Last year it died and I was sad. Maybe this year it will live longer :)
When I zone out I keep seeing pink unicorns. I think it's because I watched Despicable Me twice last week. One of the BEST movies ever!!!!

You know you REALLY want to watch a movie when you hit the "power" button on and off at least two dozen times in hopes that the stupid metal box it will read the disk that you know in fact you have placed in the tray even though the screen tells you otherwise. Then you move on to opening and closing the try a dozen times. Then you clean off the dvd with your spit and pj's and try both of the for-mentioned three dozen more times each.
In frustration you jam the dvd into the tray and get it stuck. Then get it unstuck by hitting it really hard and waking up your Hubby. Then you run to the kitchen and grab a knife and try to get it out that way because it's not stuck anymore but it's lodged in the wrong place and refuses to come out.
Then you run back to the kitchen and find a screw driver and take the stupid metal box apart so you can grab the dvd and put it back in the try in hopes that all the drama made it want to work for you. When that lets you down, you open and close the try a dozen more times while meticulously watching it go in and out.
You grab the disk and manually try to spin it. You bend the tray. You blow and blow and wish you had one of those cans-of-air to blow the crap out of it until it surrenders. A light bulb goes off and you remember something you read in the bathroom so you run there and grab a few of them. Q-tips.
They are good for cleaning electronics, at least that's what you remember the box says. You don't read the box again, to make sure you remember correctly, because you could be wrong and you don't want to be wrong, and of course that just takes up precious time anyways. You stick your hand and q-tip into the metal box and think "this isn't dangerous is it?" but quickly throw that thought aside. You swab everything in sight.
Then you place the dvd in the tray and cross your fingers and toes. Still nothing. You pull the other side of your hair out. Then you grab the other q-tip and swab the heck out of it. Nothing to loose right - it's already broken. You swab and swab and swab that part that you think is the 'eye-that-reads-the-disks'. Then you try one last time. It works.
You very gently set the nice metal box down on the ground, unscrewed and all. Climb into bed with a huge smile on your face and watch the movie. Falling asleep mid-way through.

R. Augh-choo!! Every day it rains, and a few days afterward, I sneeze at least 20 times a day.
A. Been looking at competitors lately. I'm thinking my prices are too low and I'm WAY too nice.
N. Hubby wants to buy the Mforcer. Think I should let him?
D. My sister will be here in less than a week. I'm so excited! I've been acting so goofy (or that could be my drugs)!!
O. Excited to launch our new company. Getting more pre-mades made. Haha, that sounds funny!! Think I'll have my sister help when she gets here.
M. I want to buy a flower but I've killed all the ones I've had and I really don't want another heartbreak.
N. I'm hungry, what should I make for dinner?
E. Feeds suck. It's like they have a mind of their own or something.
S. Corn Flakes and Cool Whip taste great together in a bowl at 2 in the morning.
S. Saw a beautiful painting yesterday. I wanted to buy it, too bad it was so expensive. Maybe I should paint one myself. I used to be half decent at painting and I just signed up to get free paint samples.
R. LOVE the new Mormon Channel radio. Brings such a strong spirit into our home.
O. So what do you think, should I raise my prices? Would anyone still buy?
C. Woke up this morning and me fingers didn't hurt. Yippee!!

Now for my next question:
Do you also loose a brain cell with every drop of blood you loose??
I ask because I've lost a lot of blood the last few days and I've never felt more ignorant and slow. It's taken me five hours to do things that should have taken no more than 45 minutes. I can't sleep more than an hour at a time. I'm irritable and bored...
But my wonderful Hubby has been taking good care of me - got me pizza and yummy bread, even helped me clean up the house. Good thing he loves me!!
PS. see - I'm super stupid today, this post is even worse than usual and probably makes no sense. Can't wait for Monday.

First, the exciting news: I officially have 302 followers. Not sure where most of you came from, as my posts have been kinda lame lately and I haven't gotten many comments, but I am grateful and I love seeing your happy smiling faces on my sidebar!! A huge THANK YOU to every single one of you.
Last Saturday I went to a baby shower. It was the first one I've ever attended. It was for a couple in our ward at church, they are super nice. The party was so cute - green and orange safari theme. They had little games and food and cupcakes. And the best part is that the men were invited - that's right Hubby came with, yay!! I love him. The bad part is that it made us want a baby even more - hopefully that will come soon. I have an appointment to discuss my test results on Monday.
Had a few errands to run today. I was only gone an hour or so but I'm absolutely exhausted. It's like 10000 degrees outside and every ounce of energy I possess was sucked out the minute that sun hit my skin. I HATE summer in Fl. Will have to go swimming later.
Now let's play a game: Look at the photo below. Do you know what fruit is pictured there? Here is a hint, the photo makes it look much larger than it is. Anyone know?? I do!!! But the ladies at the grocery store didn't. It took 10 minutes for someone to finally complete a price check on them - they asked me 10 times, "what are these called again?" like they were some sort of new banned forbidden fruit or something. Not sure if it was funny or pathetic?!

It's been a long but productive kind of day. And long but productive kind of days need mindless relaxing kind of nights. In a mater of moments I plan to fly (speaking of which, check out my travel blog - I'm starting it up again) to Neverland and stay there till morning.
YOU SEE...
The other night Hubby and I went to Blockbuster to get a couple Harry Potter movies we were missing - we were going to have a big marathon on the weekend (which didn't happen). While we were there Hubs spotted Hook and said "Hey, don't you like this movie?"
"YES!!" I practically screamed while jumping up and down and grabbing the dvd to embrace it in a hug.
We purchased the three movies and then when we turned to leave I saw it.... the version of Peter Pan that my college roommates and I all feel in love with and watched a million times... so naturally I grabbed it and said "I need this one too please!" With my biggest 'pretty please' smile. After making sure I was serious, Hubby purchased it for me too.
THANKS TO MY HUBBY (my real life Peter Pan), THE ENDING TO MY LONG DAY WILL BE TWO CLASSIC MOVIES AND ONE HAPPY KATIE!

It's 4:58AM. Hubby has a cold and keeps waking up, which means I wake up too. Get me vapor rub. Okay. Get me some water. Okay. Put on the vaporizer. Okay. I'm hot. I'm cold. On and on. You know how it is. He's snoring away right now but I stayed up to get some work done. Which is a slow road right now, I'm so uninspired. I need to go to China.
I've been in a vaca. mood for a few weeks now. I just don't know where to go. It's a bit too chilly for the beach (yay!) and really where else is there in FL? Who knows. Yes, China it is then. Come along if you'd like.

Thanks for all the input on the pots and pans. I decided to go with the better quality set. Hopefully I'll get used to the sizes (they weren't that bad really, just not perfect).

Hubby and I have been into cooking shows lately. Iron Chef Good Eats and the other 'mouth-watering wish smellivision and testivision were real' shows on Food Network. He sometimes makes sly comments while watching that he wishes he married a chef - something I am very far from. Every time we go grocery shopping he keeps an eye out for unique food that I might be able to make. Well last weekend we shopped at a different grocery store for variety and spotted some quail.
Yep, I made quail for dinner last night. And it turned out quite well.

Firstly, thank you all so much for helping me out with my cry fest the other day. Your kind words mean more than you'll ever know. I've decided to get check out by a gynecologist since I'm not comfortable with my doctor. I'll let you know the results I'm sure...
Now on to Halloween!!! I'm having a virtual party here on this little blog of mine.
There will be treats similar to the delectable candy corn finger sandwiches pictured below, and of course there has to be a cutie spooky cake.
There will be costumes of all variety - such as cupcakes and hamburgers, ladybugs bumblebees and kitty cats!
We'll have tons of fun trick or treating of course, bobbing for apples and watching Hocus Pocus - my favorite Halloween movie.
