Friend Makin' Monday

Monday, July 6, 2009

Confession: I don't have many friends in real life. Which is why I love blogging so much, I feel like everyone who comments on my blog becomes my friend. In fact one of the main reasons behind my new blog Traveling the Blogosphere is to make friends and connect people. Is that weird? Well anyway...

The topic for todays FFM is "Tell us about your BFF"

I too am going cliche and choosing my husband. I've mentioned before that Hubby and I met through Myspace. Neither of us was looking for love (I was in 'love' with another guy). Neither of us thought the other was 'hot'. There was just something there.

He understood me. He tolerated me. He listened. He was different. I was different. We taught each other things. We made each other laugh. We quickly became best friends. In the first year that we talked online and over the phone he knew me better than everyone ever has combined. He listened to me cry and helped me pass Economics. He was like an angel. Always there, always knowing.

He's still my angel and I'm so blessed to have him. Just a few minutes ago (I won't mention that he made me massage his back for an hour before hand ) we were cuddling on the couch and he looked at me and said, "You are so beautiful. I'm lucky I get to wake up to your gorgeous face every morning."

He's my BFF because I can totally be myself around him. He makes me feel good. He gives me confidence and believes in me. He knows how to deal with me and he takes the time to figure out what I need. He is super smart and always has an answer to all my problems. Best of all he loves me and I love him!

That's so sweet! I feel bad that I didn't post about my husband, but I guess he got "trumped" this week! Your husband obviously adores you -- how great that you count him as your BFF.

That is awesome Katie!! I think it is great. Not many of the wives feel that way about their husbands. I know you are not alone. My hubby is my BFF also!!! I would be lost without him.

Um, hello, fabulous Katie? I just checked out your Traveling the Blogosphere blog. How fantastic. There isn't a thing that I didn't love. From your concept, to your header, to the creative way you approach giveaways, it is all so great.

A group of bloggers and I are planning an event this fall which is somewhat similar to what you are doing. I wonder if we can somehow tie you into it...hmmm....If you interest is at all peaked, let me know: 3bay.b.chicks@gmail.com.

Oh, and this post was pretty great too.
