Tuesday's Tribute
Yet Another Jay and Deb Production.

Today's tribute is to my brother. At this very moment he is in Brazil teaching all who will listen about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The other day he emailed me to make sure I was okay. I was sick at the time and not feeling very loved but hadn't told him that. He has a way of always knowing what to say and when to say it. It amazes me that he has time to think about me and offer his shoulder to my nonsense.

There are so many stories I could tell you about this boy, I'm sure they will come out of me in time, but there is one close to my heart that I would like to share. It happened back in May, six months after he had left. It was so amazing to see him and to watch him go through this experience. It is best put in his words so here they are. Keep in mind that he was in Portuguese mode as he wrote this, and yes it may be the longest paragraph in the world.

"I just came back from Brazil to have an operation on my kidney in Salt Lake City!! A day before the operation i talked to the doctor and he said that i have a complex cyst on my kidney which is the size of a golf ball and lots of little ones at the bottom so i have a 25-30% chance of cancer. so he decided they were going to take the whole kidney out. So the next day as i was laying on the hospital bed getting ready to lose my kidney he comes in and says that he got woken up 4 times during the night having the impression not to take out my kidney. so he decided to make a smaller incision and just take out the cyst. So i woke up a few hours later and the doctor said that during the surgery it looked even more like he should take out my whole kidney and that my kidney was fussed with my liver so it looked like cancer and that they would have to take out my kidney and part of my liver. So he called a old friend of his who is a liver surgeon and had him on his way to the hospital to look at it. but before he got there the doctor decided to poke at the spot and see if there was puss in it. so when he poked at it all this liquid and puss came out and it turned out to be just a bad infection and not a cyst at all!! so they didn’t have to take out my liver or my kidney and they just cleaned up all the puss and sewed me back up and i was walking around that same night!! It truly was a miracle that the doctor got that feeling not to take it out. He said 100% of the time seeing how my kidney was they would have taken it out, but he got that feeling so he didn’t. so i am able to recover faster and i will be able to go back to Brazil. I know someone wants me back in Brazil!! I know without a doubt in my mind that i am suppose to go back to Brazil and continue teaching this wonderful gospel and continuing changing people’s lives. I know for some reason Heavenly Father told that doctor not to take out my kidney so I can return to Brazil. I am so blessed and I don’t know why. I continue to be so blessed even after the terrible things I have done. I know repentance works and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is True! Just pray about it. I know whoever reads this will get an answer, no matter who you are or what you have done, if I got an answer to my prayers then you can too!!! "

See why I love him?! He is so humble and spiritual and amazing. He is my hero, my rock. I am so blessed to have him as my brother. He gets back in Decemeber. I am so excited to see him again and hear even more wonderful stories from him. So so exctied.
