You know those dreams that feel so real. Ones where you wake up in a sweat. Ones where you actually scream or kick and wail. I had one of those last night.

----
My mother-in-law was teaching me how to run (like long distance kind of running). She told me to try to run around the block in this certain amount of time. I ran and she clocked me. I did really well and finished just .1 short of her goal. I was all smiles but she was really upset. She told me to do it again and get under the time. I argued that .1 was close enough and I'd do it again tomorrow.

She wasn't having any of my "back talk" and demanded that I run again. I started crying and throwing a tantrum (my dream self must hate running as much as my real self)I begged and pleaded with her not to make me run again that day. Still she demanded and started threatening violence and punishments.

So I ran.

I ran as fast as I possible could.

I ran in the wrong direction.

She yelled and screamed after me to turn around and come back but I just ran faster. She had her flying monkeys (like the ones from The Wizard of Oz) try to catch me but I ducked into an alley confusing them.

As I ran I felt so free and liberated. My breathing was so clear and clean. The sky was bluer the clouds were fluffier. I ran home and never looked back.
----

I woke up a bit afraid, breathing very deeply, on the wrong side of the bed. I wonder what it meant?

I hate dreams like that. Last night I dreamed that I weighed 600lbs!! I have been REALLY stressing over my weight because I have gained a TON over the last year due to my illness. This dream (actually I would classify it as a nightmare) was horrible.

I'm stopping by from SITS! I just wanted to share some comment love. I hope the rest of your week is absolutely amazing and crazy dream free!

Many Blessings,

Teresa <><

Wow, what a dream! Allow me to pose as Freud for a moment. I think you have a fear, but your mind is letting you know once you confront it, you will be able to master it. In your dream you didn't get it perfect the first time, and you were doing it the way someone else wanted you to. If you do it your own way, you will find the freedom you are looking for.

That is what Freud and a group of psychoanalysts say anyway.

Strange dream...maybe you are either afraid of something or trying to avoid something?

That is funny!
I sleep with the radio on tuned to NPR...sometimes I end up with politicians in my dreams, or my dream will be focused around a news story - like the time I ended up dreaming I was part of that whole fiasco with the Honduran president who wasn't allowed back in the country - I was working at the airport in Honduras that day...

Is your mother in law as frightening as mine is? Because she always gives me the urge to run in the opposite direction...

Weird dreams make for good blog posts though, don't they?
